Mornings start early in the bush. But waking up in a spacious tented camp under large trees, birds chirping and the excitement of discovery ahead the hour of the day is quickly forgotten when you head out for the day. You will take a packed lunch and enjoy a picnic along the way which means you can explore the Masai Mara from morning until the late afternoon on these two days. You have enough time to explore remote corners and learn from your guide about the animals’ behavior. During the Great Migration, when thousands of wildebeest and zebras migrate to the Mara from the plains of the Serengeti, you may be in luck and witness a river-crossing at the Mara River. But no matter what time of the year you come to the Mara, many different species call this place home year-round. Cheetahs, hyenas, and antelopes roam the savannah, while leopards hide in the thicket of the trees and hippos and crocodiles inhabit the waters. Look forward to wildlife encounters which will stay in your memory for a long time to come. In the evening, enjoy a sundowner on your private balcony or chat with other travelers at the bar about your adventures of the day. You will spend your second and third nights in the bush in the Ilkeliani Camp.
